Description: The ever-popular Wild and Scenic Upper Rogue River flows from the
Crater Lake National Park boundary 40.3 miles to the Rogue River
National Forest boundary at Prospect. The main highway for Crater
Lake National Park parallels the river, and the corridor is lined
with campgrounds, picnic areas, and places to stop and admire the
scenery. Pullouts include a grove of giant pines, a natural bridge,
and a waterfall. Other celebrated landscape features include pumice
flats, deep gorges and chutes, and the deep mixed conifer forests characteristic of the Siskiyou Mountains.

Angling for trout from April 22 - October 31. No limit on brook
trout. Many trailheads offer a chance to stretch your legs, either on
an interpretive nature trail or on a longer hike. Due to the
popularity of the run, permits for private float trips are issued by
lottery.
The application period is from December 1 through January 31.
Commercial trips are also available daily during the summer months.
Rapids are classed from Class II-IV from Nugget Falls to Gold Hill Boat Ramp, and from Class II-II from Galice to Agness.
